Last Friday evening, at the home venue, our Intermediate footballers scored a deserved 1-14 to 1-11 victory over Duhallow side Ballydesmond in the Division 4 league.   After a rather hesitant opening twelve minutes, at the end of which our boys trailed by 0-2 to 1-5, the suddenly found their bearings and in the space of three minutes they had reduce their deficit to two points, 1-3 to 1-5. and went on to control the second quarter, to lead at the break 1-10 to 1-7.

Less than three minutes into the second half, they extended their lead and by the end of the third quarter they led 1-13 to 1-8.   The selectors used the second half to give a run to their subs and despite the changes in personnel they held on grimly to run out deserving winners.
