Our junior B footballers were unlucky not to reach the final of the North Cork championship when they went under by the narrowest of margins to Kilshannig, in the semi-final, at Doneraile, last Saturday evening. The final scoreline was Kildorrery 0-8 Kilshannig 1-6. Kidorrery got off to a great start and with less than two minutes left to play in the opening half led 0-7 to 0-1. However, just before the break Kilshannig got through for their goal to leave them trailing at the interval 1-1 to 07.
The second half saw them come back into the game and with Kildorrery seemingly tiring they took over and ran out winners on the above score. Kildorrery’s only score being a solitary point, in the second half.
