Last Sunday afternoon at the home venue, our Intermediate footballers made their exit from the Tom Creedon Cup competition, at the hands of Newmarket on the score-line of 0-7 to 2-9.

This was a closely contested game and in fairness to our boys, the score does not give a true reflection of the play, as with less than ten minutes to go only a point separated the sides.

However, inside the last six minutes, or so, the winners got through for the two goals which put the game far beyond Kildorrery’s reach.  Once again, KIldorrery’s mentors used the game to give all available players as much game time as possible, in preparation for their league campaign which will kick off early in February.

Team and scorers:  Liam Kelly, Cormac O’Baoill, Tom P. Murphy, Jerry McCarthy, Michael Walsh, Finbarr Stapleton, Sean Kelly, Shane Fitzgerald, Peter O’Brien, James O’Sullivan 0-1, Wm. Fouhy, Shane O’Neill 0-1, Tom Monaghan 0-2, Stevie Coughlan 0-2, David Kelly 0-1. Subs used.  Ciaran O’Connor, Liam McGrath, Eamonn O’Connor, James McEniry, Dylan Kent, P.J.Keating, Tiernan Condon, Anthony Palmer.
