Our Minor B1 hurling championship first round game versus Kilavullen, at Castletownroche, last Thursday evening was halted inside the first two minutes of the second half after our goalie, John Hunter was accidentally injured while making a save. After receiving first aid on the spot the game was eventually abandoned by referee Dave O’Farrell, before John was eventually removed to hospital as a precaution. Thankfully, he was allowed home again that night, sore but otherwise in good health. We wish him well. The Club officers are most grateful to all who attended to John on the occasion.
At the end of an entertaining and high scoring first half, Kildorrery led 2-9 to 1-7 and that was how it ended.

Our Intermediate footballers travelled to the Na Piarsaigh venue, last Friday evening for this Division 4 league game where they shared the points on the above score. On this Friday evening, they are at home to Mayfield, in the same competition at 7.30 p.m.

Club members interested in a draw for two Premier tickets for the All-Ireland Minor and Senior hurling semi-finals on August 13th should hand in their names to Club Runai Joe Sherlock before next Monday’s Club meeting. The draw will be made at that meeting.
The Club lotto jackpot of €11,000 was not won when the fortnightly draw took place at Sheahan’s Hilltop Lounge, last Saturday night.
