Our Intermediate footballers get their 2017 Division 4 league under way, next Sunday, when they play Bandon, at home at 2.30 p.m. They have undergone a number of training sessions over the past two weeks and should be in reasonable form for this game. A win on Sunday would be a nice start to the season. On Friday February 17 th , our Junior B Footballers are in action against Ballyclough, in the Division 2 league at Kildorrery 7.30. p.m

 

LOTTO

The Club lotto jackpot of €8,600 was not won when the fortnightly draw took place at Sheahan’s Hilltop Lounge, last Saturday night.

The numbers drawn were: 1, 5, 8 and 19.

Three lucky dip winners of €50 each were:

DISAPPOINTMENT

It was disappointment for Mitchelstown C.B.S. footballers in the Senior B Munster Final last Saturday, when they went under to Coachford College, at Charleville.

 

RAFFLE

The Club’s monster fund-raising raffle is only about a month away, now. The sale of tickets for the very valuable prizes is reportedly going very well. The first prize is a pedigree Limousin heifer sponsored by Tom Jackson, second is a pedigree Vendeen Sheep sponsored by Cheryl O’Brien and the third prize is 1 tonne of Animal Feed sponsored by Southern Milling Ltd. So buy your tickets and be in with a chance. Tickets are €5 each or three for €10.

 

WELFARE COURSE

The Club is holding a Child Welfare course in the Club Hall on Thursday 23 rd February . This is a mandatory course for persons involved with children and youths under eighteen years of age. STAND

Glad to be able to report the work on the completion of the spectator stand got under way, last week. Local contractor Liam Young and staff moved in on site last Wednesday morning and we look forward to steady progress over the coming weeks. 

 

SYMPATHY
