Due to Eire Og’s win in the Premier Intermediate football championship, last week-end and their semi-final clash with Fermoy this week-end, our Intermediate hurling championship game against them which had been fixed for Saturday, now goes back to Saturday September 24th.
Last Saturday evening, our Intermediate hurlers travelled to Bandon, where they scored a most encouraging 2-17 to 1-15 victory over the home side in the Division 2 league.
They now continue their preparation for Saturday week’s clash with Eire Og.
NORTH CORK FINAL
On this Sunday evening we host the North Cork Junior hurling final between neighbouring sides Glanworth and Ballyhooly. The game is timed for a 6 p.m. throw-in and is bound to attract a huge following from both camps. All available members are asked to turn up for ticket-selling, stewarding, etc.
LOTTO
The next Club lotto draw takes place at Walsh’s Corner House, this Saturday night, when the jackpot will b e €6,600.
MONSTER RAFFLE
The Club has launched a major fund-raising raffle, with the valuable prizes having been very generously sponsored. The first prize is a Pedigree Limousin Heifer sponsored by Club member and well-known cattle breeder, Tom Jackson, the second prize is a Pedigree Vendeen Sheep sponsored by an equally well-known breeder and Club member, Cheryl O’Brien and the third prize is One ton of animal feed sponsored by Southern Milling. The draw will be held on Monday March 6 th 2017 and Cash will be offered in lieu of Prizes. Tickets are €5 each or three for €10.

Best wishes for their future happiness are extended to Shane Roche and Lorraine Morrissey who are getting married this Friday.
