Last Sunday evening, our intermediate hurlers, though somewhat depleted, made the short journey over the Limerick border to Glenroe, where they played the local side in a tournament game. The final score-line of 0-15 to 3-19, reflecting a thirteen point loss for our boys, left a lot to be desired. Perhaps, this was the ‘bad one’ to get out of their system in their run up to their next championship game which has been tentatively fixed for Saturday September 17 th . Last week-end, Eire Og defeated Ahabullogue and they now play Midleton this Friday evening and Kildorrery play the winners.

Team versus Glenroe: James McEniry, Sean Kelly, Willie Coffey, Cormac O’Baoill, John Howard, Michael Walsh, Tom Monaghan, Jerry McCarthy, Darren McNamara, Dylan Kent 0-1, Finbarr Stapleton 0-3 (0-2fs, 0-1 65), Andrew O’Brien 0-3, Wm Fouhy 0-2(0- 1f), David Kelly 0-2, Shane O’Neill 0-2. Subs. Liam Kelly for J. McCarthy, Jason Walsh for C.O’Baoill, Billy Hedigan 0-1 for S.O’Neill, P.J.Keating 0-1 for D. Kent.
