A meeting of the club took place on June 21st 2021.

The well attended meeting discussed many areas of the club and updates were given on many areas.

The next lotto draw will take place on Monday 28th at 8.00pm in the club rooms. Please submit your book to Monaghan’s yard by 7pm on Monday.

Alternatively you can now play online and this facility is accessible through our web site. Once you complete the initial registration part it will be seamless every week thereafter.

This is also a great opportunity for overseas players or indeed for those spread throughout the country to support the local club.

Thanks as always for your support.

Don’t forget the survey deadline is July 2nd.

This survey is part of the club’s development strategy for the next 5 years across the pillars of:

  • Coaching
  • Facilities
  • Communications
  • Structures and Finance

The survey is anonymous and should take about 15 minutes to complete. We will also have some hard copies available in Thornhill’s from Monday afternoon if anyone prefers that method and to return once completed.

Thanks to everyone who helped to date with the preparation of the survey and the door is open to any member who wishes to get involved for the betterment of the club and community.

Any questions let us know. The intention is then to collate and review the results to guide the club’s strategic plan.

Thank you, this week, to Eamonn McCarthy, Mattie Noonan, and Peadar Collins for their assistance cleaning the goal posts and to Ned Dwane for sourcing new netting.

The Bingo in the creamery yard on a Friday night continues to be a huge success and is providing such an important outlet for people to meet in a safe manner while playing the game they love so much! All welcome from 7.30pm on. If you need any details, please contact Tom Thornhill or Marie Collins.

Sunday 20th  June - Intermediate football league v Grenagh

This was a great game for the younger members, and it was a pleasure to see a strong mixture of generations here as well. It was evident having taken a lead, lost a lead and come back to equalise again that we have a resilient group in this group of footballers and the commitment shown by some was exemplary. All in all, happy to come away with the draw and build on it moving forward and from the previous encounter this can be described as a bug improvement all things being said.
