Our minor hurlers had a great victory of 6-19 to 2 09 over Newmarket in minor hurling on the same night. There was a great attitude with the team. We moved the ball excellently and played very well. This was a great start but tinged with sadness that the minor grade at 18 has been removed so some panel players will not be eligible. Will Duggan the Minor hurling manager was very impressed with this outing and the club were delighted to see this level of commitment at this level.

Saturday 12th June Intermediate hurling league v Dungourney 6pm in Dungourney

This wasn’t the start we were looking for but on a positive note we got some game time from younger people. It also gave us an opportunity to build on the momentum and that will be critical as we didn’t have the opportunity to do so last year. Dungourney were sharp. Next up for us is Milford and then Iniscarra. There is a lot of work to do but the determination is there with the group.

Please note a link to the survey has been shared on the club whatsapp group and we would be grateful if members could complete. This survey is part of the club’s development strategy for the next 5 years across the pillars of:

  • Coaching
  • Facilities
  • Communications
  • Structures and Finance

The survey is anonymous and should take about 15 minutes to complete. We will also have some hard copies available in Thornhill’s from Monday afternoon if anyone prefers that method and to return once completed.

Deadline of 2nd July to complete the survey and we would appreciate all views as this will help guide the club as it moves towards the next 5 years.

Thanks to everyone who helped to date with the preparation of the survey and the door is open to any member who wishes to get involved for the betterment of the club and community.

Any questions let us know. The intention is then to collate and review the results to guide the club’s strategic plan.

Once we have the appropriate GAA guidelines we will advise on opening times in the immediate future.
