The Ger Spillane Fund-raiser run jointly by the Club and the Community Development Association, last Saturday, was an outstanding success, despite the prevailing bad weather.  The Coffee Morning and Cake Sale received huge support. The only disappointing aspect of the venture was the weather- enforced cancellation of the Under 12 and Under 16 matches in the evening.  However, the Intermediate football game between our Mitchelstown neighbours and the home team was very generously supported. The amount raised was€18,000. The outstanding support for this very worthy cause is greatly appreciated.

The football challenge which proved to be keenly contested was won by the visitors on the score of 2-9 to 0-12.
