KILDORRERY  3-13 BALLYGIBLIN  0-7

On Thursday evening last week, at Kilworth, our Minor A hurlers scored a rather facile victory over a somewhat depleted Ballygiblin in the Plate semi-final.  The final score-line was 3-13 to 0-7. This win qualified them for the final In which they play Charleville at Kilavullen on Sunday next.

KILDORRERY 0-16 CLYDA ROVERS 1-15

At Shanballymore, last Monday evening, our Under 21B hurlers, after an impressive opening twenty minutes at which point they led 0-9 to 0-3, eventually lost on the above score-line. They failed to score again before the break while Clyda had reduced their arrears to three points.  Only one of their six first half points had come from play.

Kildorrery started the second half with a point inside the first two minutes.  However, they failed to raise a flag again during the next ten minutes and at this point Clyda Rovers had added three points to their interval tally.  At the end of fifty minutes, Kildorrery led by the minimum 0-12 to 0-11. The turning point of the game came a minute later when the winners got through for their goal. Kildorrery rallied and with only four minutes of normal time remaining were a point ahead  0-15 to 1-11. Try as they might for that elusive goal, they failed in their efforts and Clyda added four points to their tally to Kildorrrery’s one before the final whistle.
