On Thursday evening last week.,our Minor 3 hurlers qualified for the final of the North Cork league with  a deserved 3-12 to 4-6 win over Banteer in the semi-final at Glantane.  Kildorrery dominated proceedings in the opening half, at the end of which they led 2-7 to 1-0.  However, while they were first to score after the resumption of play, they seemed to take the foot off the pedal and allowed the Duhallow boys to gain a grip on the game.  At the end of the third quarter, their lead had been reduced to eight points – 3-10 to 3-2. Inside the final quarter, Banteer added 1-4 to their tally to Kildorrery’s two points.  A rather dubious close-in free to Banteer inside the last two minutes of normal time which, if it found the net would have levelled the scores.  To the credit of the defence the goal attempt was saved and cleared. In injury time both sides exchanged a point and so Kildorrrery survived to reach the final.
