On Tuesday evening, last week, our Junior hurlers scored a 5-12 to 3-8 win over Newtownshandrum, at home, in the Division 3 League.

As a mark of respect to the Downey family Knockanevin, all weekend events in the Parish were called off and these included our Under 21B football game against Buttevant at Shanballymore.  This has now been refixed for this Saturday at the same venue 6 p.m.



Last Sunday, with home advantage, our Intermediate footballers edged out Kinsale in the Division 4 league by a single point. This was a closely contested game all through with the first half ending at nine points apiece. The trend continued for the second half with Kildorrery just getting over the line on the above score.

Saturday April 6th  Under 21B football championship Semi-final V Buttevant at Shanballymore  6 p.m.



The €8,600 Club lotto jackpot was not won when the fortnightly draw took place at Walsh’s Corner House, last Saturday night.  The numbers drawn were: 6,14,16, 21. Three lucky dip winners of €50 each were: 1. Lisa & Zach McCarthy, Kilclooney. 2. Mike Monaghan Jnr.,  Oldcastletown. 3. Edmond O’Connell, Balliinguiroe. The next draw will be held at Sheahan’s Hilltop Lounge on Saturday April 13th when the jackpot will be €8,800.



The preliminary draw for the Cavanagh’s of Fermoy sponsored Ford Fiesta will take place in Fermoy on Thursday April 18th.  Three tickets from each of the six participating clubs will be drawn   and the winning tickets will be drawn at a later date. Tickets are still on sale locally and are available from club members.



Congratulations to local Clubman and Limerick stats man, Sean O’Donnell and all involved with the Limerick Senior hurling team on their league victory, last Sunday.



We wish the best of luck to Mitchelstown C.B.S. Senior football team in the Cork Post Primary Schools final on Wednesday next April 10th.
