KILDORRERY 0-18 ARGIDEEN RANGERS 1-10

Last Sunday afternoon, with home advantage, our Intermediate hurlers got their 2019 Division 4 league campaign off to a winning start when they had a five point victory over Argideen Rangers.  From start to finish, this was a keenly contested and tough physical encounter. At the end of the first half Kildorrery led 0-9 to 1-4, Rangers goal having come from a penalty at the end of the first quarter.

After the restart, Kildorrery extended their lead with three points in quick succession. Argideen came back with a point  before Kildorrery had five more to see them 0-17 to 1-5 ahead with just over ten minutes of normal time remaining. However, from there to the final whistle Argideen added five points to their tally to Kildorrery’s one.  But it was Kildorrery’s day and a good start for them.

Team and scorers: Ian Butler, Tom Monaghan, Willie Coffey, Sean Kelly, Jamie O’Gorman, Michael Walsh, Richie McEniry, James O’Sullivan, Jerry McCarthy, Wm Fouhy 0-1, Peter O’Brien 0-11(0-8fs), Shane O’Neill 0-2, David Kelly 0-2, Stevie Coughlan, James McEniry 0-2.
