KILDORRERY 0-10. GRENAGH 0-10

Our Intermediate footballers got their 2019 Division 4 league campaign off to a start, last  Sunday , when they drew with Grenagh at the home venue. Playing into a fresh breeze in the opening half, they found it difficult to make progress against a very defensive Grenagh combination.  At the break, they trailed by four points, 0-3 to 0-7.

However, after the resumption of play, they quickly availed of the breeze and by the end of the third quarter had drawn level and had made it 0-8 to 0-7 by the forty-eighth minute. Grenagh had to wait until the fifty-fourth minute for their first score of the second half, but they added three points in as many minutes.  Inside the last three minutes of play, Kildorrery had points from a Finbarr Stapleton free and a great point from play by Shane O’Neill.

Team and scorers: Liam Kelly, Sean Kelly, Cormac O’Baoill, Darren McNamara, William Fouhy 0-1, Michael Walsh, Fintan Daly, Shane Fitzgerald, Dylan Kent, Jamie O’Gorman 0-1, Finbarr Stapleton 0-1f, David Kelly, James O’Sullivan 0-1, Shane O’Neill 0-6 (0-1f), Cathal Harrington.

Subs: Paddy Pigott for Dylan Kent (inj.).   Shane Landers for D.Kelly. Willie Coffey for S.Kelly. Sean O’Sullivan for J.O’Sullivan..

On Saturday next February 9th they travel to Aughville in West Cork to play Bantry in the same competition at 6 p.m.
