Our first Club meeting of 2019 was preceded by Mass for deceased members and benefactors celebrated in the Club Hall, by Rev Fr. Kelleher P.P. last Monday night.  Runai, James Fox and Cathaoirleach Pa Walsh did the readings from Scripture and Prayers of the Faithful were read by a number of members. Fr. Kelleher complimented the Club for remembering the deceased members in this manner and Cathaoirleach Pa Walsh thanked Fr Kelleher for facilitating the Club.

The Mass was followed by the first meeting of 2019.  An Cathaoirleach opened the meeting by welcoming the members and wishing them all the best for the year ahead.



The Club will hold a victory social in Springfort Hall on Saturday February 2nd.  The event is being organised to celebrate the Club’s 2018 championship victories in Under 21B hurling, Under 21C football, Junior C football and Junior B hurling league.  Tickets will be on sale shortly at Thornhill’s Opticians and will also be available from Club officers.



There was no winner of the €7,400 jackpot when the fortnightly Club lotto draw was held at Walsh’s Corner House, last Saturday night.  

The numbers drawn were: 3, 12, 13 & 23. Three lucky dip winners of €50 each were:

1. Nicholas Hickey, Fermoy Road

2. A. J. O’Mahony, Kilbehenny

3. Shane Fitzgerald, Farahy.

The next draw will be held at Sheahan’s Hilltop Lounge on Saturday January 19th. when the jackpot will be €7,600.



At last Monday’s meeting votes of sympathy were passed to the following on their recent bereavements:  The Doyle family Scart; the Palmer family, Limerick Road; the McAuliffe family Glanworth; the family and relatives of the late Mary Kenneally, Fermoy and to Mick Lyons and family Araglen on the death of Mick’s sister.  Ar dheis De go raibh a n-anamacha.
