KILDORRERY  2-16 KILBRITTAIN 1-23

Our Intermediate hurlers made the long journey to Kilbrittain in West Cork, last Friday evening to play the home side in the Division 3 League.  The Club is delighted to welcome back Michael Walsh after his sojourn in Australia and he made his return to the team for the second half of this game, which unfortunately, they lost on the score of 2-16 to 1-23.

This Thursday July 5th.  Minor B1 hurling league V Banteer at Kildorrery 7.30 p.m.

Tuesday July 10th. Division 3 hurling League V Midleton at Midleton 7.30 p.m.

Wednesday  July 11th Minor B Hurling Championship V Ballycastle Gaels.(venue and time to be confirmed)

 

LOTTO

The Club’s next fortnightly lotto draw will be held at Ollie’s Bar, this Saturday night, when the Jackpot will be €4,800.

 

HILLFEST

We wish the best of luck to our Festival committee when they commence proceedings this Thursday evening with a Family Table Quiz in the Creamery Store.

The festival continues with Showtime on The Hill on Friday and Saturday nights.  

On Sunday morning there will be a Gaelic games blitz for boys and girls.

Then in the afternoon a kids’ tractor run will be held in the Village Park, with the proceeds going to BUMBLEANCE, the Ambulance service which ferries sick Children to and from hospital.

In addition there will be numerous sideshows. So all is ready for the off and hopefully the fine weather will hold out.  

 

SYMPATHY

At last Monday’s Club meeting a vote of sympathy was passed to the family and relatives of the late Andy Rice, Ballindangan, on their recent bereavement. Ar dheis De go raibh a anam.
