Juvenile update

Our U11s were invited to Clogheen, Tipperary on Sunday last to participate in a mini Munster hurling tournament. Kildorrery were the Cork representatives, Glenroe represented Limerick, Cappaquin represented Waterford and Fr. Sheehys represented Tipperary and hosted the tournament. Our boys played fantastic. It was a round robin where we drew with Tipperary, we defeated Limerick and Waterford to qualify for the final, which was against Tipperary again and the boys were marginally beaten by just one puck of a sliotar. A mighty day of hurling was had and the boys did their county and their club proud.

Our U16 girls are preparing for a county semi-final against Passage West on October 8th in Kildorrery where they played Knockainey U16s in a very tough challenge game on Monday night.  They now meet Glanworth for another challenge game on next Monday night in Kildorrery.  Keep up the preparation girls.

The Sherlock cup will be played for shortly. There are also a few end of year events planned for some of the teams.

The juvenile club AGM time will be communicated shortly. If you wish to be involved with the club please contact Dave white incoming chair on 0871302724.

Ladies Results

Our junior football team Funcheon Gaels bowed out of the championship on Sunday last against a very tough Watergrasshill side. The final score was Funcheon Gaels 1-04. WGH 3-12.

Our U12 camogie girls (pictured below) had a great win against St Columbs, Bantry on Sunday in Millstreet in the county league competition. They are progressing on and will meet Ballinascarthy this Sunday in Ballinascarthy. Best of luck girls.
