Good draw for our Intermediates

travelled to Ballyhea to play the locals in the Intermediate Hurling League last Sunday. Both teams finished level on the score of 2 - 16 each. this was a very entertaining, hard fought game in perfect conditions. the teams were very even throughout most of the first half, but a late flurry helped Ballyhea to a half time lead of 1 -10 to 8 pts.

got off to a great 2nd half start with James Keating scoring 1 - 1 to leave just a point in it. an unfortunate injury to Cathal O'Sullivan in the 40th minute forcing him off the field unsettled Kildorrery for a while helping Ballyhea to extend the lead by 3points. Kildorrery rallied and drew level again.

It was nip and tuck until the final whistle and a draw was probably a fair enough result although Kildorrery had a good few scoring chances near the finish.

this was very much a team performance, and it was heartening to see such a spirited and hardworking performance with good direct hurling.

Great stuff lads. Keep it going!

Best wishes to Cathal for a speedy recovery.
