Kildorrery Welcome St Nicks

Kildorrery Intermediate Footballers welcomed St Nicks to Kildorrery for the final league game of the season on Sunday, 18th June. This was a very enjoyable open game of football. Kildorrery dominated the first half and lead 7pts to 2 at the short whistle and but for some wayward shooting and intercepted passes, could have had a much bigger lead.

The second half continued in the same vein with Kildorrery again on top in most areas and won well on the scoreline of 1-12 to 1-7 with St Nicks scoring a goal with the last kick of the game.

The last few games will give the players and mentor good encouragement going forward and we wish them well in the games ahead.

Juvenile News

The exams are over!!!

Well done to all our club members who completed the junior & leaving cert exams. Roll on the summer, training & matches for you all.

The School Musical ‘Hard Knock Life’ took place over last Thursday, Friday & Saturday evenings. Huge congratulations to all our juveniles that took part in this fantastic production. We have amazing talent on and off the pitch. Well done to all involved.

Our fixtures are quietening down a bit, but the pitches are as busy as ever with intense training schedules every evening.

Our U14 boys were disappointed to lose out to Liscarroll Churchtown Gaels on Friday evening in the football league semi final. The players gave a great account of themselves but luck wasn’t on their side on the day.

Our U13 Camogie girls were also disappointed to loose out to Banteer on Sunday in a league semi final. A great team performance was given by the girls in very warm conditions. Onwards and upwards.

Our U12 girls had a great victory over Araglen Desmonds Bui on Monday night in the North Cork Final in Kildorrery. Due to the new rules & restrictions in relations to U12s on social media, there was no pictures taken of the presentation with the team & the shield. Congratulations girls on a fantastic performance & especially to all the coaches & mentors involved.

Our U15 girls are participating in an Avondhu region summer football league for the first time. On Monday last they lost out to St. Mary’s in Liscarroll after a tough physical game and one where the final score didn’t reflect the closeness of the game. We had a number of very young girls from the U13 group, who gave a super account of themselves. The girls played Mitchelstown on Monday last in the 3rd round and had a marginal win by two points after a very close and entertaining game of football. Pictured below after the game.

Our Mothers & Others took part in the Annual Munster Blitz in Mallow Gaa complex last Saturday. What a fun day out and they ladies avoided the heavy downpours. Well done to all involved.
