Good Progress for our Intermediate Hurlers
Kildorrery made their way to Coachford last Sunday to play Aghabullogue in the Intermediate Hurling League. They played a storming first half and led at the interval by 12 points to 2. Our half back line dominated the first half and Mikey Walsh and James O'Sullivan picked up numerous breaks to provide our forwards with a plentiful supply of good ball. Peter O' Brien again led the forward charge with great help and workrate from the other five forwards.
Aghabulloue probably with a few home truths brought a physical dimension to the second half. The exchanges were fairly robust in this half. Kildorrery losing a player with concussion and another to a late red card. Undaunted they stuck to their task and in fairness with Ian Butler in goals and a full backline that never looked like conceding a goal they ran out eventual winners on the scoreline of Kildorrery 0-15 Aghabullogue 0-08.
Team: Ian Butler, PJ Keating, William Coffey, Cathal O'Sullivan, Shane Fitzgerald, James Keating (0-02),William Fouhy, MikeyWalsh (0-1) James O'Sullivan , Pierce Piggott Peter O'Brien (0-07) Kieran Hurley, David Kelly (0-02) Shane O'Neill, John O'Connor (0-01)
Subs: Jerry McCarthy, Sean Watson (0-02) Padraig Harrington.
