Wall ballathon and Corks fittest family Launch
This weekend we held our much anticipated wall ballathon challenge where we went a full 24 hours pucking or kicking a ball down at our hurling wall without stopping. This was a huge effort by all concerned and credit to those who organised participated and saw it through right through to the end. This challenge coincided with our Festival and Cork Fittest family launch and it promised to be a very busy evening in the Pitch and the local hall. We weren’t left disappointed. The participation by the players coaches juveniles, the young and older was outstanding. The generosity within the club and the wider community was evident to be seen as we kicked off our fundraising events to complete the aspirational vision of having our own Astro turf facility for all the community to enjoy. This weekend brought a lot of fun and crack to proceedings and culminated in the official launch of the Corks fittest family with Davy Fitzgerald on Saturday evening. Davy was his ever energetic enthusiastic self and went down a treat with the packed hall. The weekend certainly was a weekend for the wider club to be proud off and now we are one club you can start to see how the combined effort will produce the maximum effect. Corks fittest superstars promises to be a super event where teams will compete for a grand prize. July 1st is the date and if you require any more information please reach out to Eamonn McCarthy for details.
