A meeting of the club took place on Monday night where there were many elements discussed by the members. A great crowd attended. The club discussed the new crest going forward which represents the fact that we are now one club. It was proposed and seconded to adopt the le cheile wording to illustrate the point that we are now coming together as one. Well done to all involved in its development. Enhancements to the 100 club prize money were brought forward by the finance committee and the meeting also heard of developments from the facilities committee as well as the very exciting development with the Astro committee which is going to be an exciting development for the future. There are many events to mark the beginning of the preparation for events that will take place to drive the fundraising effort for both the GAA club and the community. Further details are outlined below.
There are many exciting activities and events happening now within the club and it promises to be a very busy time on and off the field.
Fixtures
Our first league fixtures in Intermediate and Junior football will take place in March. The teams are preparing as we speak and we look forward to the commencement of matches.
Astro Committee Update
The official fundraising launch will take place on Saturday March 4th and we are delighted that our Cork Fittest family event spearheaded by Davy Fitzgerald will in fact see the Davy himself meet the community in the community hall for the official launch. Book it in. This promises to be a great event to join in as we develop and enhance our facilities for all to share. Everybody in the community is welcome to the event where we will host a question and answer session with Davy. This will also coincide with a fundraising event the players are hosting that day called a Ballathon and it is envisaged kicking off our funding drive with this great initiative. There will be more details on the ballathon over the next few weeks. Well done to the players for driving on with this initiative.
Gym Update
Don’t forget to pay your gym membership if you are re-joining for the new year or indeed if you are a new joiner. All new joiners welcome. All details can be obtained from Mikey Walsh or Shane Fitzgerald.

After downloading app, please update your profile (see manage profile). Go to Family & update your family profile, please note when paying the family membership - All children incl. Students in college must be added under the children section in the family profile, all over 18s will then be moved to the additional people section. The next lotto draw takes place this Monday night coming. Make sure to buy your ticket or purchase online.
Bingo
There is Bingo in the hall Friday night.. Home bingo books on sale in the Community office ,Post office, Centra Kildorrery, and Maxol Mitchelstown. This week’s snow ball prize is €600. Thank you as always for your support.
Juvenile and GAA social
The Juvenile social take place on Friday February 24th in the Fir Grove hotel. This promises to be a great night marking the many high points from the Juveniles this year. Tickets can be sourced from Trudy Roche or Brenda Coughlan. Make sure to get your ticket in time for what promises to be a fun night of celebration.
A further social night will be held to mark the outstanding achievement of our ladies on March 24th. We will also commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Intermediate football county winning team on the same night and this will bring a nice hint of nostalgia to proceedings also. Watch out for ticket sales
This promises to be a great night and we look forward to seeing as many as possible there. Watch out for social media and press announcements for tickets. They will be available at local outlets and also we hope to facilitate online payment.
Volunteers
The club is always looking for volunteers to support in any way. If you would like to become a volunteer with the club in some area please leave any of the club officers know. As we work with the community team with the Bingo it would be great to have more volunteers for the Bingo on a Friday night if possible. We currently work the bingo on a rota basis. If you are interested please reach out to Marie Collins or any of the Club officers.
