Ladies Football & Camogie AGM 2022

The AGM for the ladies side of our One Club took place on 1st December in the Kildorrery GAA Hall. Pat Fenton the outgoing chairman opened the meeting and welcomed all in attendance. Displayed on the night were the winning cups and shields – Junior C Championship Cup, Junior C League Cup, U21 LGFA Cup, U11 LGFA North Cork Shield, U12 LGFA North Cork Shield and the U16 LGFA North Cork Shield all welcomed to Kildorrery Club for the first time and hopefully not the last.

Pat congratulated all the teams that resulted in the fine display and said that all the hard work & commitment had paid off. He thanked all the officers in the club especially secretary Maria Noonan for all her hard work. Pat confirmed that joining the Kildorrery GAA under the One Club banner was a great success. 2022 saw the club expanding with two teams – An U16 LGFA team and the Junior Camogie Team…. both doing fantastic in their first year. Pat went on to thank the adult club who have been a great support to the ladies club and this was really evident at the Junior C Camogie County Semi-final and County Final. The meeting flowed with the secretary’s report read by Maria Noonan. Treasurer’s Report was read by Helen Walsh. President Cha Hanley presided over the election of officers.

A big welcome to Tipperary native Tracey McNamara as the new chairperson. Tracey said that she was looking forward to her term as Chairperson and she was also delighted to see the silverware on display. Tracey thanked all the previous officers, the coaches, parents and players for achieving the rewards. Head Coaches & Managers were ratified for the various teams. Mentors if interested, can contact the Head Coach of the relevant group themselves or contact the Coaching Officer Brian McNamara. The meeting continued with Mike Murphy - Children’s Officer giving a detailed report on courses and vetting that must be completed by the coaches and mentors before they enter the playing pitches.

 

County Board convention

The county board convention was held on Sunday. The draws for the intermediate championships took place. In football we were drawn in group C with Mitchelstown, Boherbue, Ballinora and Kildorrery and in Hurling we were drawn in Group B Sarsfields Kildorrery, Matfield and Blackrock.

 

Lotto

The lotto draw took place on Monday. There was no winner of the jackpot and the lucky dip winners were:

Games played

The Under 21 Final versus Liscarroll Churchtown gaels is fixed for Mallow Friday night at 8pm. Best of luck lads.

 

Bingo

Bingo continues in the hall on a Friday night at 8pm. If anybody would like to volunteer to help at the Bingo on a rota basis, please contact Kerene Gallagher or Marie Collins

Rebels bounty

Rebels Bounty final draw of 2022 took place on Friday 2nd December .

Rebels Bounty 2023 will launch from Monday 5th December with the first draw taking place at the end of February 2023 for the months of January and February.

Thanks all for support and to Eamonn McCarthy who co-ordinated this year. This has proved to be such an important revenue stream for the club and your continued support is greatly welcomed.

 

Glenahulla school Fundraiser

Condolences
