Club AGM nearly upon us

The clubs AGM is nearly upon us. If you have a motion to submit, please get it into Dave Harrington ASAP.

All coaches in the club have been sent the survey to see what team they would have interested in working with in 2026. Please fill out.

If you are not an existing coach or selector and have an interest in getting involved with a team, please come and have a chat. All welcome.

Visit of the Sam Maguire Cup to Kildorrery National School

There was great excitement in Kildorrery National School this morning as the famous Sam Maguire Cup came to visit! The pupils lined the yard and cheering as the cup arrived. Smiles, photos, and plenty of questions filled the morning as the children got a chance to see the All-Ireland Cup up close. The visit created a brilliant buzz around the school, with teachers and students alike enjoying the special moment. It was a proud day for everyone, inspiring plenty of young footballers to dream of one day lifting Sam themselves!

Pitch update

Important that people have the correct footwear, moulded studs, Astro footwear or runners. We would ask all coaches to make sure this is the case.

Secondly the booking of the Astro will be reviewed weekly until we get the proper flow of training, capacity etc.

These bookings will be supervised. This is an exciting time for all of us and I know we will treat the Astro with the respect it deserves.

The Green Agenda

Clubs across Cork are being invited to take part in a new sustainability initiative with the county board.

As you know we have installed solar panels, electric chargers are on the way, and we also have our orange bin.

The club has an exciting opportunity to appoint a sustainability officer at this years AGM. If you have expertise in this area and are interested, please let me know.

In the meantime the Cork GAA sustainability road show was held at Mallow GAA on Monday 13th.

The role of a sustainability officer within a club is very important direction for the GAA to take.
