U21’s secure north cork Title

Our Under 21 footballers secured a victory after extra time this week against Araglen in the North Cork Final. With a relatively commanding lead at half time of 2-07 to 0-02 points it looked like we were well on our way for this match however Araglen rallied in the second half and were able to secure a draw with the score at 4-08 to 2-14. After extra time we were able to secure victory with the score line Kildorrery 4-14 Araglen 2-18. Well done boys.

Our minor team were also out this week against Newmarket and managed to come away victors after a bruising encounter. Well done boss.

Pitch progress

The progress on the pitch has been flying over the last two weeks. We are hoping that all works will be concluded shortly. Thanks to the Astro and finance committees who are guiding the projects along. We should see the conclusion of it now very shortly. It is envisaged that the President of the GAA Jarlath Burns will visit the club to officially open the pitch in October.

New 200 club

To Support the financing of the pitch we will be launching our new 200 club in August whereby 200 families or individuals will be asked to donate five euro per week to the club to defray the costs of the project while also being able to enter a draw. This is going to be a tremendous development for the club and community, and we are looking forward to having the finished product shortly.

Congrats Louise

Congrats to our very own Louise Mullins Minor ladies football competing in Budapest athletics recently. Best wishes from Everyone in Kildorrery GAA.
