Astro Pitch nearly complete

We held our 15th club meeting of the year this week and it was attended by a very large crowd. There is a huge amount of development going on in the ground and the pitch is nearing completion. The meeting heard how the credit union have been a huge support to the club to get the astro completed and this will make a huge difference in getting the job done.

The grounds on the Astro have really come on now and the carpet has been laid this week. This is a very exciting time for the club and as we draw nearer to conclusion we are delighted with the progress.

Thank you for your cooperation.

200 club

Details of our new 200 club will be announced shortly. This sustainable fundraising piece will be annoniced officially in August and will be vital for the club being able to sustain payments on the pitch.

Collins Field

Please note that the road leading up to Collin’s build site (parallel to the tree centre) is not for public access and is under construction.

The collins family would ask that people are respectful of the site and do not enter the private property under construction and also not to access the GAA facilities through that way.

Thanks to the collins family again who have been so kind to allow the club the use of the field which is a huge asset to the club.

If parents and club members could spread the word please? Thank you.

Results

  • Minor football result last night St. Peter’s Rockchapel 2-13 Kildorrery 2-06
    • Well done to our minors so are in league final action also later in the year against St Peter’s again. Also playing St Peter’s in championship in coming weeks
  • IHL Full Time kildorrery: 0-21(21) Inniscarra: 1-25(28)
    • After a strong opening period where we traded point for point with Iniscarra we went to the break with a score line of a goal and twelve to seven points. We managed to out score iniscarra in the second half but we just weren’t able to catch them. This was a strong robust outing and good prep for championship which takes place in approx. four weeks.
