WINNING WAYS
Intermediate Footballers travelled to a sunny Fairhill last Thursday to play Na Pairsaigh. settled well and should have had a few scores on the board before Cathal Harrington opened the scoring with a point.
This was followed by another point by Kieran Hurley and a Two-Pointer from Shane Fitzgerald. Both teams then exchanged points, (Liam McMillan) before Na Pairsaigh scored a fortuitous goal.
Both teams then scored a point each (C Harrington) to leave the half time score 7pts to 1 goal and 3pts in Kildorrery's favour.
At the restart Na Pairsaigh got a point before the decisive moment of the match. Their goalkeeper had advanced up the field but Kildorrery turned the ball over and after a few quick passes Kieran Hurley expertly lobbed the retreating goal keeper from 20yards.
further 4 points were added by Sean Watson, Timmy O'Sullivan and 2 by the speedy Cian Coughlan.
The final score was 1 - 11 to 1- 9 in Kildorrery's favour.
This was Kildorrery's fourth win in a row and despite several injuries they appeared to be able to find a way to win.
Kildorrery presently are at the top of the league.

Message from Kildorrery Festival committee regarding Munsters fittest club
On behalf of Kildorrery Festival Committee, Kildorrery GAA and Kildorrery Community Development Association we regret to inform you that we will not be hosting Munsters Fittest Club as was our intention. We had two fantastic years with Davy Fitzgerald and his team and Corks Fittest Superstars and we hoped to build on that this year. We were putting up a top prize of €10000 for the winner and hoped to attract clubs from different regions of our province. While we received many positive responses from various clubs not enough clubs were able to commit because of fundraising projects within their own regions. So we have taken the decision not to go ahead with this event on Saturday May 31st this year.
We may return to a different format in 2026.
This of course is the weekend of our annual festival, and we are delighted to say that the festival will be taking place as planned. We look forward to seeing you all in the village over the weekend and this year you don’t have to break a sweat to impress others. Thank you for your continued support over the years. Sincerely yours, Kildorrery Festival Committee.
