Film Awards Off and Running
The excitement has kicked in as we have see from last week the film awards have truly kicked off in earnest with much planning taking place now with all the crews.
You will also have seen last week that The films chosen for our film awards launch were: Father Ted ,The Snapper, Bridesmaids ,Resistance ,The Field Braveheart and Derry Girls The IDONATE pages for each of these films are LIVE (donations are already coming in!) and individual film links will be shared on Facebook as well as on the respective WhatsApp groups. The Christmas trees are flying. Thanks to everyone for their help this morning. Great mornings work done. Peadar and Ciaran in hand with the machinery again.
A series of fund-raising events will be launched shortly and these will be shared with everyone. Best wishes to everyone as we embark on this journey.
Astro Project
The club Astro Project will kick on now also in the next few weeks with final contracts being drawn up to commence the work. This is going to be a very exciting time for the club and we appreciate the help and support given by the wider community.
Coffee Morning
As part of our film awards schedule the Derry girls crew will be hosting a coffee morning in the billiard room this Saturday morning from 10am to 12noon.
All welcome and all support greatly appreciated.
