All Go For 2025

As we turn the corner on a New Year and New opportunity for the club we had a very busy few weeks amidst the Christmas period when we started work on the pitch and we also launched our Film awards. Ably compared by our Film awards Committee Chair Tracey McNamara this night was always going to be important. The committee have put in a huge effort.

Thanks to everybody who showed up for the GAA Film Awards Launch Night on Saturday in Walsh’s Corner house. Thanks to Liam and Eileen who hosted. There was great excitement in the air as the castings were announced.

The films chosen were: Father Ted ,The Snapper, Bridesmaids, Resistance,The Field Braveheart and Derry Girls.

Astro Project

The club Astro Project Chairman Tony McCarthy would like to sincerely thank all who helped with the work on pitch on Saturday and this week.

This has been a great start to the Astro turf project and long may it continue. We are going to go again next Saturday to finish off the pitch by taking down the lights and railing. Day 2 was fantastic again with weather on our side throughout. Peader Collins with his mighty mulcher was a great help . Ciaran o connor Who has been up and down that field the last few days getting jobs done like a pro, and Adrian Irwin. Jim Aherne and Monaghan transport also owed a massive thanks again for the Volvo and top-class Driver. Sean young thanks also to you .

Thanks for the help team. It has been great to see everyone coming out over the weekend and today.

We are looking forward to driving on together.

 

Championship Draws 2025

The championship draws for intermediate hurlers and footballers have taken place. In Hurling we will face : Ballygiblin, aghada and Erin’s own. In football we will face Gabriel Rangers, Mitchelstown and Dromtarriffe.

 

Lotto Reaches 10k Mark!!

The Lotto took place last Monday and there was no winner of the jackpot. The winners of the Gym memberships were Kieran o Connor and Tom Monaghan Cork, The Gift hamper winners were Ella Louise o Dea, and Ellen Downey. The lucky dip winners were Tom Fox,Mag Clifford,Andrew Monaghan Ballyanihan and Ciars France Walsh Doneraile. The next lotto draw will be €10200.

Votes of Sympathy

The club would Like to extend its sympathies to the following families who sadly lost loved ones over the last few weeks, The Fraher Family Kilclooney on the Passing of Ina, The Mcgloughlin and kent families on the passing of Johnny. It should be noted Johnny once led the club to a minor Championship and in an earlier life was a huge part of village life for everybody who frequented Ollies up to his retirement. To mark his passing the club held a guard of honour from sheehans Corner as he was removed from his house. Also The O Donnell family on the passing of Rose, The Walsh and Coughlan families on the Passing of Eily and the Curran and Coughlan family on the death of Brendan Curran Doneraile. Ar dheis daoibh go raibh a hainmneacha dilis.
