U16 hurling

Our u16 hurling team played Effin last Thursday night in a challenge match at home. Effin were a very strong team with a big panel. We had only 13 thanks to Effin who gave us some players to make a game of it but were run away winners. Thanks Effin for traveling.

U14 football

Our under 14 footballers were out against Milford last Monday night. Milford won in an even game 5-8 to Kildorrery 4-7. Team was Tony Watson, John Hunter, Shane Pyne, PJ Keating, James Keating (0-1), Eoin Fenton, Cahil and Mathew Walsh O’Grady, Alex O’Neil, Padraig Walsh (1-0), Micheal Caplice (0-1), Dylan Kent (0-4), Cahil Harrington (3-1) and Anthony Crowley.

We wish Ian Butler a speedy recovery after his recent injury.


U8 to U12 every Monday night from 6.30 to 7.30.

Good luck to the U21 footballers who are in the North Cork finals next Saturday at 3pm in Castletownroche.

Hurling Wall

Thanks to everyone who helped to cut and clear the trees and gave up their bank holiday. Especially Pa Walsh, Mattie Noonan and Peter Watson who brought their chain saws, Jimmy Monaghan for the use of his loader and Ger O' Sullivan who provided much needed sandwiches and tea. Thanks everyone.

Cork Scór na bPáistí

Best of luck to the Kildorrery Novelty Act who are in the Cork County finals Scór na bPáistí in Ovens next Sunday. The team includes Róisín Guerin, Rachel Caplice, James Keating, Lauryn Shirkie, James Carton, John Hunter, Eoin Fenton and Niall Higgins. Congratulations and best wishes also go to Tony Watson, who was a member of the winning Ballad Group, representing Mitchelstown CBS.

Fund raising tea party

Kildorrery GAA Club are hosting a Tea party in the Greenwood Inn, Ardpatrick on Friday 23rd March and are appealing for your support in organising this event. Our target is to get the assistance of 20 people and their Partners who will be willing to host a table and invite 10 of their friends along on the night and provide a cold plate for their guests. A few of your friends might help out also by providing a few simple desserts for the table. Guests will be allowed to bring along a maximum of 3 Bottles of wine per table. The Cost of tickets for this event is very reasonable at just €10 per person. If you are willing to host a table please contact the club Secretary Joe at 086 8048330. A meeting of all hosts and organisers will be organised shortly. Thank you for your continued support of our Club, your help is very much appreciated. A night of Music and fun is guaranteed afterwards.
