Well done U13 footballers Kildorrery 6-9 – Newmarket 0-7

Our U13s had a great win on Sat last at the home venue beating Newmarket 6-9 to 0-7. They become the first team in the club, after many near misses, to win this year- with God’s help, hard work and a bit of luck it will be the first of many. This was a great team performance with all 13 players playing their part. Starting with Seamus Óg in goal, who was rock solid, and John and Eddie in the full back line, who cleared their lines well, they managed to keep a clean sheet. Our half backline of Kevin, Anthony and David were outstanding cutting out attack after attack and finding their own men with their clearances. James did great work at midfield linking between backs and forwards and spraying pin point passes to the forwards. Our half forwards of Sean, Cathal H and Paddy worked tirelessly and along with getting and setting up scores put in great tackles. Our full forwards Tony, Michael and Eoin got great scores and put in great tackles also. Hopefully the team will continue to improve and with Ian, Martynas, Niall, Mattie, Cathal W etc. to come back there will be serious competition for places. Credit also to their trainers for rejuvenating the team after the heavy loss their first day out. Worth mentioning also the u12 and u14 trainers who have been working hard with these lads over the last number of weeks. Well done one and all- keep up the good work. Tony Watson(2-1), Cathal Harrington(1-2), Paddy Pigott(2-2)James Keating(1-2), Eoin Fenton(1-0)Micheal Caplice(0-1), Seán Cunningham(0-1), Seamus Óg Shealy, John Hunter, Eddie O’Reagan, David Hunter, Kevin Noonan and Anthony Crowley.
