Last week was a busy one for the Club, with no less than three teams in action. Then, on Saturday evening, the Club hosted the Junior A Hurling championship semi-final, between Shanballymore and Glanworth’s Harbour Rovers. The latter emerged as winners on the score-line of 0-13 to 1-8.

On Wednesday evening our Minor hurlers, who the previous week, had drawn their Championship game with Clyda Rovers, travelled to Mallow for the replay. After a keenly contested game our boys were unlucky to lose so narrowly on the score 3-13 to 3-14. In the Junior football championship, at Shanballymore, last Sunday evening, we were defeated by Buttevant on the score 1-11 to 4-8.

Our Intermediate hurlers, as part of their preparation for their forthcoming championship encounter with Eire Og, played two challenge games during the week. On Tuesday evening they gave a good account of themselves when defeating Mungret 2-16 to 0-15. At the home venue, on Friday evening, they defeated Blackrock (Co. Limerick) 1-19 to 1-18.
